Sinus lift
Our human anatomy is connected. Close to our maxilla (upper arch) is our sinus. It’s often possible that patient’s sinuses are so low that their teeth perforate their sinus. When extracting teeth that perforate the sinus there is procedure called a “sinus perf” this is when the surgeon is able to close the sinus. Moreover, to replace a missing tooth in this area as a gold standard a dental implant will be placed. For this to happen, the surgeon must must raise/lift the sinus to reveal more bone for the success of the dental implant. There are several techniques when lifting your sinuses. CT Scan images allow Dr. Ribeiro to have a clear understanding of what procedure needs to be done for your case.
